To all of the fans of A&E;’s ‘Storage Wars’, you will be glad to hear that they have been signed for a second season. The second season has been signed for a total of 20 episodes so far. The shows current fan base is about 2.3 million viewers each week.
For those of you who do not know, ‘Storage Wars’ follows 4 men and their hunt for the “Holy Grail” of storage lockers. They go around bidding on defaulted storage units, looking to sell the treasures they hope to find inside.
“‘Storage Wars’ has garnered critical acclaim and has risen above the competition,” said Bob DeBitetto, president and GM of A&E.; “Premium storytelling and amazing characters have set our show apart.”
The premiere of the second season is due to be shown some time in the second quarter of 2011.
“Storage Wars” is produced by Original Productions, a FremantleMedia Company (“Ice Road Truckers” and “Deadliest Catch”) for A&E; Network. Executive producers are Thom Beers and Philip D. Segal. Jeff Conroy is co-executive producer and Dolph Scott is series producer.
