30) “The old Spanish standoff” and “All guns to port”

In the past two weeks of A&E;’s new show “Storage Wars”, we’ve seen tensions rise between some of the main buyers. There have been storage bins bought for low prices, and turned around to have their items they contain to be sold for hundreds of dollars.

There were many items that caught plenty of the watchers by surprise. Some of them being as follows:

This mannequin-phone was produced in 1979 to commemorate commercial art history. The buyer Darrell was able to walk away with the storage unit containing this item at the cost of $250. He was able to bring this item to an antique phone dealer and turn a profit of $1750 by selling it for a staggering $2,000!!
In a shot of luck, buyer Barry, found a stash of flare guns. Some newer, some older, and some worth a pretty penny! He found a Naval Single Pistol. It was a type of flare gun for a user to hold the pistol over his head with the flare lit and staying inside the gun, usually projecting different colors.

This sale was able to bring Barry’s value up to 10x the amount he spent on the storage bin!






The final big walk away from these episodes was Dave. He purchased the storage bin of what looks like belonged to a large cowboy. He found many items that were worth a good amount, but his biggest find was this gold and diamond bracelet.


This alone was shelved at $3,000-$4,000! This huge sale allowed Dave to walk with a $4750 profit!
